Google to Buy Twitter

Google in talks to buy Twitter

TechCrunch today reported Google buying Twitter is a huge possibility as Google and Twitter are in negotiations right now. A Google Twitter buyout has been predicted here for a while now.

I have detailed the Twitter YouTube integration and the Google Friend Connect Twitter integration.

With this history in their past a Google Twitter acquisition to me is a given.

With the new Twitter search feature and considering the owners of Twitter and are same guys who developed and sold Google Blogger, this just adds fuel to the fire.

But then I was second only to Arrington in the Digg / Google acquisition, we came close, but no donut.

  4. Are these guys controlling everything on the web that’s useful? Almost everything I use is with them now.

  6. I am still trying to figure out a use for twitter other than driving traffic. If you can think of one, let me know?

  7. Hi Chris

This is the 2nd email that I have received from you today. The first one talked about the possibility of Google merging 50 of their services…this is staggering to say the least and now this 2nd email about the huge probability that they look set to buy Twitter. I don’t know how you are getting to know this priceless information but keep it coming. It’s like you’re on the inside or something…spooky!

Thanks again for this invaluable insight.

  17. After all I had read about this and what I was seeing… it was only a matter of time. I mean the writing has always been on the wall.. Thanks for sharing as I hadn’t had time to do my technical reading updates…

FYI, speaking of Buyouts… there is another company that Google may end up buying out too… This one would even be a bigger deal to know about than Twitter… because you could get a share of the sale… As in Stock options…

The company I’m referring to has been in softlaunch for a while and has already had an impact on some of Google’s advertising programs.. They are gearing up for a heavy launch later in the month… I’ll be blogging about it in the coming days or week on my site…

But thanks again for the updates Chris…
