UPDATE: The complete Google OS source code is here on my latest blog post.
UPDATE: 2 TechCruch just published a guide to compiling and running the Chromium build / virtual machine and there are quite a few different versions you can run in the comments.
Michael Arrington on November 13, 2009 wrote that his inside sources say the Google OS based on Chrome will be available for download within a week.
Google’s Chrome OS project, first announced in July, will become available for download within a week, we’ve heard from a reliable source. Google previously said to expect an early version of the OS in the fall.
Keep your eyes peeled here and if you are a member of my google wave newsletter list you will get a shout from me as we try this out next weekend.
Definitely be interested in giving it a nudge.
The OS is very interesting in the fact that it is only the web browser, essentially most people already have the operating systems. Mots of the OS is in the apps designed from Google, the difference is that the computers that have Google OS designed for them is it will make them insanely faster considering the Google Chrome web browser already makes things fast. And Im using a mac, i attended the press conference today and they released the coded version of it, if you are a developer download it and start working!
I want google chrome os
Waiting patiently for the Google OS.
