@Ron, You have to set the FTP username and password to log into the server where your site is hosted, correct?

What is the URL of you site BTW?

In an answer to a question in email...

What kind of host is it? Are you on GoDadaddy or are you on a CPanel host?

If you are on a Cpanel host the root is the public_html file folder.

The video covers this pretty clearly.

If you can't go to (using my site as an example) http://www.googlingsocial.com/rpc_relay.html

or (again my site as an example) http://www.googlingsocial.com/canvas.html

and see the files as blank pages, then the file is not in the right place.

To test this simply replace my domain with yours.

CALL you host, that is what they are there for, call them and ask where the root is and why the files are not found.

You probably just put the files in the wrong place and a Cpanel host is real messy when you look
at the files for the first time.

GoDaddy, just go up the file tree as far as you can. When it won't let you go farther, you are in the root.

But above all, call your host tech support, it's free and only takes a few seconds. Ask them if the files in question are in the root folder.

Hi Chris

I like your straightforward down-to-earth style, thank you for creating this video. I didn't know how to do this and the Google Friend Connect thing is confusing the heck out of me!
